Lama Yeshe Drolma was born on the island of Wyk auf Foehr
in North Frisia, Germany in 1945. Shortly after meeting Shamar
Rinpoche in 1986, she made the decision to dedicate her life
to Buddhist practice and study. She entered retreat initially
in 1989 and entered the final traditional 3-year retreat guided
by Gendun Rinpoche in 1994. Lama Yeshe then continued an individual
retreat until 2000, after which she moved to Martha's Vineyard
to establish a BodhiPath Center. In additional to serving
as its Resident Teacher, Lama Yeshe also teaches at the BodhiPath
Center in New York City.
