Delta Companies nominated for homebuilder awards

Sarah Gallop Design Inc. tops the list of nominees with 12 finalists.

A Tsawwassen partnership between Kemp Construction Management and Sarah Gallop Design Inc. earned a runner-up nomination in the “Best Certified Home – Custom” category at the 2022 Georgia Awards.

The awards, now in their 30th year, celebrate excellence in home construction and renovation in British Columbia’s homebuilding industry. The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of British Columbia awards the honors annually.

This is a particularly significant recognition of Kemp’s commitment to building homes that meet or exceed traditional building standards. In the case of this project, the house is considered a Net Zero Ready house which will be the standard for all residential houses by 2032. This house is ready to produce as much energy as it consumes. Kemp is the first Delta builder to complete a Net Zero labeled home as part of its new certification as a Net Zero builder.

The owners of this home wanted to build for their family’s future with a commitment to energy efficiency. This custom home was built in a factory-controlled environment, delivered to site, and erected in approximately two weeks. The energy performance of the house is a function of the choices of windows, door systems, foundations, mechanical systems and more. The awards gala will take place June 4 at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver.
